Earlier this year, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba was handed a four-year ban for a doping offense. However, the player saw his suspension reduced, and he'll be back next year, but his future doesn't lie in Turin; in fact, he might leave Europe.

The lengthy suspension initially threatened to derail his career, but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Pogba's ban has now been reduced to 18 months. This change means he could be back in action by 2025.

Pogba is set to resume training with Juventus in January and will be eligible to play in official matches by March. It will be intriguing to see how Juventus navigates this situation and whether manager Thiago Motta will factor Pogba into his plans.

Where does Paul Pogba's future lie once the suspension is over?

According to transfer expert Nicolò Schira, Pogba is no longer in Juventus' plans and won't be returning to the squad. His agents are exploring other options, with clubs from Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer showing interest in the French midfielder.

Meanwhile, Juventus' legal team is waiting for an official ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on possibly reducing his ban. Once that decision is made, the club intends to terminate his contract, which runs until June 2026, for just cause.

On Sunday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Juventus and Paul Pogba are expected to agree on a contract termination, making him a free agent. Discussions will continue starting tomorrow, following the CAS verdict, with Pogba available to play again in March. Pogba believes a fresh start is the best move for his career.
