Juve head coach Igor Tudor has an ill-prepared Juve squad to tackle Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for their final pre-season friendly in Germany on 14 August.

With the club lagging behind in the transfer market, they are still hotly pursuing last year’s loanee striker Kolo Muani but are aiming to offload center forward Dusan Vlahovic as quickly as possible.

Serbia star Vlahovic has rejected approaches from the Saudi Pro League and Turkish Super Lig for more than six months. The 25-year-old has initiated talks with AC Milan to be reunited with former Juve boss Max Allegri.

Spanish giants Villarreal are also serious contenders to land Vlahovic, but his representatives have once more offered the hot-shot to Manchester United.

The Red Devils have recently signed Brazil attacking midfielder Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cameroon right winger Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Sesko decision affects Vlahovic

They require a centre forward, with their priority being former Juventus target Benjamin Sesko. There is a two-team battle to land the Slovenia 22-year-old, with Newcastle United having their weekend bid rejected by his club RB Leipzig.

Vlahovic is perceived to be Manchester United’s back-up plan if they are pipped at the post by Newcastle for Sesko.

Tudor is facing a tough task in the transfer market, attempting to offload misfits before their Serie A campaign kicks off on 24 August.

Goal poacher Jonathan David joined Juve last month to lead the attack, but if the club secures the services of Muani from Paris Saint-Germain and still have Vlahovic then they will be spoiled for choice upfront next season.

Juve have revived their interest in Muani, who enjoyed a successful stint at the Turin titans last term by hitting 10 goals in 22 appearances.

Muani return to Juventus gathers pace

Muani has gone public by announcing that he would be extremely interested in returning to the Serie A side, having enjoyed his spell in Turin and savored life in the city.

French champions PSG initially wanted to sell the 26-year-old, but both Arsenal and Chelsea rejected the chance to buy Muani. Arsenal swooped for Juventus target Viktor Gyokeres, while Chelsea have recently signed forwards Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Manchester United and Juve remain Muani’s next destination, with PSG seeking at least €40 million (US$46.3m) to sell him. That figure is currently too rich for Juventus, who have proposed a season-long loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
