Juve’s dismal display in Saturday’s 2-2 stalemate against Serie B side AC Reggiana signaled the importance to bolster their backline.

Igor Tudor has already been trying to sort out a new midfielder to arrive after their pre-season friendly at Borussia Dortmund on 10 August, to replace players such as Douglas Luiz and Timothy Weah.

Morocco star Sofyan Amrabat, who made over 100 appearances for Fiorentina, appears to be among the favorites from a plethora of midfield targets to join Juventus soon.

While Tudor is also eager to earn some money from wantaway striker Dusan Vlahovic, which would contribute financially to another loan for Paris Saint-Germain striker Kolo Muani.

Ramping up center-back replacements

French champions PSG are also been touted to send their Brazilian center-back Lucas Beraldo to Juventus.

The 21-year-old's contract expires in June 2028, but he needs to get some top-flight experience next term. Galatasaray, Juventus and Manchester United have all inquired about his availability.

Juventus also have a keen interest in another 21-year-old center-back. Greece international Konstantinos Koulierakis was outstanding in the German Bundesliga last season for VfL Wolfsburg.

He is valued at a modest €25 million (US$28.8m) that appears to be a bargain.

Juventus renew interest in Arsenal target

The most expensive option being considered by Juve is long-term target Jakub Kiwior, who is available at double the cost of Koulierakis.

FC Porto are also contemplating the 25-year-old from Arsenal, who excelled last term and made an impact during the club’s Champions League campaign.

The reality is that Juventus are cash-strapped until they can start offloading unwanted players to finance transfers, so bargain buys appear to be their best bet rather than repeat last summer’s spending spree debacle.
