The January transfer window opens in a couple of weeks and there are several rumors regarding Juventus and what players other top European clubs could look to lure away from Turin.
Moreover, this window could present an opportunity for players that aren't getting enough playing time or lacking a prominent role to look for a chance to move elsewhere.
One Juventus player who could be preparing for a switch in a few weeks is midfielder Nicolò Fagioli. The 23-year-old has received playing time with the Old Lady, but it might not be enough for him to stick around under new manager Thiago Motta.
Why would Nicolò Fagioli want to leave Juventus?
In Serie A, Fagioli has only played 90 minutes twice this season, and most of his playing time in league play has come off the bench, or there are matches in which Motta didn't sub in the player.
Fagioli has made 15 appearances across all competitions while recording one assist and tallying 683 total minutes. As a result, the Italian ace could be looking for a bigger role and there's a Premier League club that might provide him with the opportunity.
According to GIVE ME SPORT (h/t Tutto Juve), Tottenham would be tracking Fagioli and the London-based club could move for him as soon as January, with Juventus open to negotiations around a £20 million fee. The next few weeks will be key, as Fagioli no longer appears to be a key player for Motta.
Fagioli has a contract until 2028, so Juventus will have control in regards to the transfer fee that they will want for the player as there's no need to sell immediately.
