This week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus are looking to secure a loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur defender Rădu Drăgușin in the January transfer window.
The Italian newspaper reported that although Milan Škriniar is the top choice for the Old Lady, they are also considering a move for Drăgușin.
Nonetheless, the report doesn’t provide any additional details about the potential deal, so no other options, like buy clauses, have been mentioned.
Micky van de Ven and Christian Romero are clearly Ange Postecoglou’s top choices for center-back, but Dragusin's potential makes him a valuable asset for Spurs. So far, the defender has only played six matches across all competitions, highlighting his limited role in Postecoglou’s first team.
Agent for Rădu Drăgușin breaks silence amid Juve rumors
With the January transfer window less than two months from opening, rumors are swirling, and the agent for Drăgușin broke his silence in an interview with TuttoJuve.
"Radu Drăgușin is coming off a fantastic match against Manchester City and is now focused on the rest of the season, eager to perform well with Tottenham," Florin Manea, Drăgușin's agent, told the outlet.
"I found out about it through the Italian newspapers, but honestly, I don't have any information on it. As far as Juventus goes, there haven't been any contacts from my side. Ultimately, the final decision will rest with the club, but Rădu is happy here at Tottenham."
How much could the 22-year-old defender cost Juventus? Transfermarkt puts the former Genoa standout's transfer value at €25 million. It will be interesting to see if Juventus attempt to push for the young player or if the Serie A side does land Škriniar to replace the injured Gleison Bremer.
