Juventus will be in the market for a top striker soon.

Gonzalo Higuain has been linked to River Plate and MLS clubs with one year left on his contract, and Juventus could sell him in the summer 2020 transfer market. If they do, the Bianconeri would be in the market for a new striker.

More from Old Juve

Arkadiusz Milik seems to be Juve’s top target. The Napoli star is one of Serie A’s top forwards when in form and could be a delightful attacking partner for Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

According to a report from Tuttosport, via Football-Italia.net, Juventus would like to sign Milik this summer.

Milik played for current Juve manager Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, so the familiarity factor certainly helps here.

However, the Bianconeri also have eyes on an even better striker in Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.

Per the report from Tuttosport, Juve would like to sign Haaland in the summer 2021 transfer window, potentially as a long-term option if they cannot convince Napoli to sell them Milik.

Haaland will be more difficult to land. His 75 million euro release clause will kick in either next summer of in 2022, but if it doesn’t come into play until 2022, Dortmund could still sell him in 2021 to get more than 75 million euros.

But for the Old Lady, the biggest problem isn’t even cost. Haaland is wanted by other clubs, namely Real Madrid. Los Blancos dream of an attacking trio comprised of Eden Hazard, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe, with Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior playing a role, especially when Hazard starts to decline.

A Mino Raiola client, Haaland seems to have eyes on Real Madrid in the long term, too. But for now, he is happy to continue scoring goals as the No. 9 in Dortmund’s incredible attack.

dark. Next. Juventus also want to swoop for Barcelona's top target

Haaland has already scored 41 goals in all competitions this season between Dortmund and Salzburg, and he’s actually been more devastating in front of goal for the Black and Yellows.
