Juventus had no problems dispatching Torino, winning 4-1 at the Allianz Stadium.

Although their rivals had a glimmer of hope when the referee controversial awarded a penalty kick after VAR review for a handball in the box on Matthijs de Ligt, Juventus prevailed 4-1 at home against Torino without much trouble.

Here are the full player ratings from the blowout victory.

GK Gianluigi Buffon

The legendary goalkeeper has now broken Serie A’s record for most appearances in a career, and he was solid in this game. Gianluigi Buffon could do nothing about the penalty, and he showed his veteran instincts with some smart handling, including a clean catch from Juan Cuadrado’s cheeky chest pass and a smart palm away from the box.

LB Danilo

Danilo is a scrappy fullback who gets the job done, and his smart positioning is an underrated asset to the team. He cut inside a lot on his right to trouble Salvatore Sirigu from range, but he scuffed his best chance by losing his bearings in the box. A decent display all told.

More from Old Juve

CB Leonardo Bonucci

Leonardo Bonucci picked up another booking for a clumsy foul, and his star seems duller in comparison to the brilliance of Matthijs de Ligt. But the veteran center back remains one of Serie A’s most effective defenders.

CB Matthijs de Ligt

Another massive performance from the high-priced Dutch center back, who stands alongside Sergio Ramos as the best center backs in Europe since football’s return. He read the game brilliantly and was always looking to put his body on the line to stand in the line of fire. De Ligt exudes confidence.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

RB Juan Cuadrado

While Juan Cuadrado wasn’t at his best defensively, he fought so hard in this game, popping up all over the pitch in the attack. His goal to make it 2-1 was absolutely delightful, as he ran side-by-side with Cristiano Ronaldo in the counterattack, made himself available, hesitated, left his man for dead, and fired a trademark finish into the bottom left corner.

Rating: 7.0 out of 10

CM Adrien Rabiot

Although Adrien Rabiot was later replaced by Blaise Matuidi, he quietly continued his strong form with a hard-working display in the middle of the park. Rabiot’s flicks came off, his passes were clean, and he made so many ball recoveries in midfield. He’s shown that he may have a place in the Turin midfield after all.

Rating: 7.0 out of 10

CM Miralem Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic had a few bright moments, but this was a slight step back for the veteran regista. Overall, Torino kept him under wraps, and he was the least influential starting midfielder for Maurizio Sarri in the derby.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

An excellent display from Rodrigo Bentancur, who worked as hard as anyone on the pitch. He did so much defensively to lift Juve in this derby matchup, and his efforts on the defensive end should not be overlooked in this 4-1 victory. Bentancur was one of Juve’s standouts.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

LW Cristiano Ronaldo

Simply magnificent from Cristiano Ronaldo. Juan Cuadrado did most of the work for the assist, but Cristiano still deserves credit for laying off the pass and leading the counter instead of firing a shot right at a defender. Ronaldo found space at a premium, but he still got his goal, finally using finesse to score with his 43rd free kick attempt of the season. We’ll speak less about his woeful first free kick. As far as his work on and off the ball, Ronaldo’s movement was brilliant, and Torino could not take the ball off Ronaldo, whose skill moves were on full display.

Rating: 8.0 out of 10

CF Paulo Dybala

Another massive performance from Paulo Dybala, who cannot stop scoring at the moment. The fleet-footed Argentine scored in the third minute to give Juve an early derby lead they would not relinquish. Dybala was majestic and intelligent on the ball, making smart passes and finding pockets of space between the midfield and defensive lines.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

Next. Juventus plot another ludicrous summer deal. dark

RW Federico Bernardeschi

Federico Bernardeschi worked hard and even attempted a bicycle kick, but, once again, he was outshined by the far more dynamic and technical Douglas Costa once the Brazilian was subbed in. Still, Costa’s minutes must be managed, so Bernardeschi will continue to start. And honestly, he’s not bad.
