Juventus were extremely fortunate to get a point out of their match against Atalanta.

There’s little doubt that Juventus vs. Atalanta lived up to the hype as Serie A’s game of the week in terms of quality and drama, but most of the quality came from Atalanta, whose free-flowing attack stole the show again. Meanwhile, Juve were extremely lucky to have received a point from this performance at the Allianz Stadium, as both goals were controversial handball calls for Cristiano Ronaldo penalties.

Here are the full player ratings from the 2-2 draw.

GK Wojciech Szczesny

Again, Wojciech Szczesny never had to make any big stops, and he could do nothing about either goal Atalanta scored. Both were the result of individual attacking brilliance.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

LB Danilo

A mediocre performance from Danilo, who had his expected issues with Josip Ilicic but managed to keep the big forward off the scoresheet. It was surprising to see Danilo get the start, but at least he didn’t make any major errors.

More from Old Juve

Rating: 5.5 out of 10

CB Leonardo Bonucci

Leonardo Bonucci really needs to step up. Once again, he might have been the worst player on the pitch. His passing was uncharacteristically sloppy, and he did little right defensively to inspire confidence. Yet another game to forget for the 33-year-old.

Rating: 4.5 out of 10

CB Matthijs de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt maybe could have done better on the first goal, but he did a nice job all told.

He was much better than his center back partner at reading and clearing danger, looking far more active than the slipping Bonucci. Per WhoScored.com, de Ligt completed around 90 percent of his passes with two tackles, two interceptions, and four clearances.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10

RB Juan Cuadrado

Juan Cuadrado had a nearly impossible matchup against Duvan Zapata, who is just so difficult to deal with in all phases of the game. But Cuadrado stood his ground. In the attack, Cuadrado was the only person really sending teasing deep balls and trying to conjure magic.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10

CM Blaise Matuidi

Miralem Pjanic was surprisingly benched, so Blaise Matuidi drew the start on the left. His defending was excellent, and it needed to be. Matuidi recorded four tackles. But he did absolutely nothing to help the team offensively.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

The best player on the pitch besides Cristiano Ronaldo. Rodrigo Bentancur took well to the regista role defensively, intercepting three passes with four tackles. Without him, Juve would have probably been blown out in their own stadium. He also had two dribbles completed and led the team with two key passes.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

CM Adrien Rabiot

Although he didn’t score a great goal and had a minimal impact all told, Adrien Rabiot did his job effectively in midfield against Atlanta. Rabiot had three interceptions and passed well enough. But he was missing initiative in the final third.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

LW Cristiano Ronaldo

The Man of the Match almost by default for the Old Lady, since he was the one who calmly dispatched two penalties to rescue a point. Outside of the penalties, Ronaldo had little luck, as Atlanta suffocated him with three men whenever he got near the ball. That said, he still showed his class with clever touches and flicks. It’s too bad his teammates didn’t step up.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

CF Paulo Dybala

Subbed off too soon for Gonzalo Higuain, who was a massive downgrade on his national teammate. Paulo Dybala is always untouchable with the ball at his feet, and he had three dribbles completed to lead the team in this category.

Rating: 6.0 out of 10

RW Federico Bernardeschi

Woeful from Federico Bernardeschi. He produced next to nothing in the attack and frustrated his teammates. Bernardeschi is, without a doubt, Juve’s least consistent player.
