Juventus will face Serie A’s second-placed team on Monday night at the Allianz Stadium.

The Bianconeri remain in first place despite their recent struggles, and they are coming off a 3-3 draw against Sassuolo on Wednesday night. This Monday, Juventus will face their toughest opponent yet in Lazio, who are second in Serie A. Lazio have stumbled recently as well, but they are formidable opponents for the Bianconeri.

Here is a look at how Maurizio Sarri could line his team up on Monday at the Allianz Stadium.

GK Wojciech Szczesny

Juve may have allowed three goals to Sassuolo on Wednesday, but Wojciech Szczesny put in his best performance since the restart. The Bianconeri would have almost certainly lost without him. He is the best keeper in Serie A and a lock to start against Juve’s top challenger for their ninth straight Scudetto.

LB Alex Sandro

After struggling to start the match, Alex Sandro atoned for his previous errors by saving a point for Juventus. He scored and cleared the ball off the line to make sure the Bianconeri at least salvaged a point from their poor showing at Sassuolo.

More from Old Juve

CB Matthijs de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt has become Juve’s best defender. He isn’t 100 percent right now due to a shoulder injury, but he’s still the best Sarri has.

CB Leonardo Bonucci

Lately, Leonardo Bonucci has been a liability for the Bianconeri. He was the worst player on the pitch against Milan, didn’t do much better against Atalanta, and came off the bench for another subpar display at Sassuolo. Bonucci needs to step up on Monday.

RB Juan Cuadrado

Juve missed Juan Cuadrado badly against Sassuolo, as the Colombian right back was suspended. He’s been one of the Bianconeri’s most consistent performers this season, providing value on both ends of the pitch. Look for him to have a big performance at the Allianz Stadium in this one.

CM Adrien Rabiot

Adrien Rabiot has become the preferred starter over Blaise Matuidi on that left side. Though he isn’t as good as Matuidi defensively, Rabiot has really stepped up offensively, even scoring a wonderful goal against Milan.

CM Miralem Pjanic

With two assists and five key passes, per WhoScored.com, against Sassuolo, Miralem Pjanic was one of Juve’s top performers on the pitch this past Wednesday. Pjanic remains an effective player for Sarri, even if the Bianconeri will be moving on from him after using the veteran playmaker to acquire the young Arthur Melo.

CM Rodrigo Bentancur

After an injury scare against Sassuolo, Rodrigo Bentancur should be good to start against Lazio. He will need to be at his best in this one, because Lazio’s midfield is probably the top midfield in Serie A. Luis Alberto is an assist-machine who can control games, while Sergej Miliknovic-Savic is so good that he’s on the radar of the big clubs in European football.

LW Cristiano Ronaldo

Last time out, Cristiano Ronaldo had 10 shots for Juventus but was finally held off the score sheet. He needs to find the back of the net against Lazio, because goals could be at a premium for the Bianconeri against a much better defensive side than either Atalanta or Sassuolo. Ronaldo has been in good form since Serie A’s return, but a lot is expected of him.

CF Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala will move back into the central attacking spot after being surprisingly benched for Gonzalo Higuain at Sassuolo. The best player for Juve since Serie A’s return, Dybala should have at least one goal contribution in him, even against Francesco Acerbi and Co.

RW Douglas Costa

Finally, Maurizio Sarri will start Douglas Costa, whose injury history is the only thing keeping him from starting over Federico Bernardeschi. Costa is clearly the superior player to Bernardeschi in all facets of attacking play. The front three of Ronaldo, Dybala, and Costa should lead the Bianconeri to the full three points against Serie A’s second-best team.
