Juventus took down Ferencvaros on Wednesday night on the road, picking up three more points in a group essentially contested by Barcelona and themselves.

With Cristiano Ronaldo back, Juventus are back to their winning ways. After taking down Spezia 4-1 behind Ronaldo’s second-half brace off the bench, the Bianconeri defeated Ferencvaros 4-1 in the Champions League to make it six points in the group.

Ronaldo, though, didn’t score. He did assist, as Alvaro Morata played the role of top scorer in this match with a brace of his own.

Here are three takeaways from the victory.

Paulo Dybala should have a confidence boost now

Paulo Dybala’s second goal was ruled an own goal, but he effectively scored Juve’s last two goals of the match at Ferencvaros. And both goals were the result of inexcusable mistakes from the opposition’s keeper.

Still, Dybala punished those mistakes, getting on the scoresheet after two dreadful performances against Barcelona and Spezia.

More from Old Juve

The month of November is an important one for La Joya, who hasn’t played up to his standards as one of Serie A’s best players since returning from his injury to start the season.

Hopefully, Dybala’s goal-scoring actions in the Champions League serve as a confidence boost for the 26-year-old superstar. With contract negotiations still ongoing, Dybala is at a critical juncture, and this goal should help him on his way to rebounding.

Alvaro Morata is a revelation for Juventus

Juventus signed Alvaro Morata this summer on loan from Atletico Madrid, reuniting with the man who helped the Bianconeri reach a Champions League Final as Carlos Tevez’s partner in the final third.

Morata has been scoring goals at a rapid pace since joining Juve, and the offsides flag would not deny him a poacher’s brace at Ferencvaros. The former Real Madrid academy product’s double puts him at four goals in the Champions League this season, and he has an additional two goals and two assists in Serie A.

Right now, Morata is in the form of his life and is being elevated to new heights at Juventus as a focal point of the attack. Unsurprisingly, he seems to play even better alongside Ronaldo, and Morata benefited as a scorer and not just a creator in this win over Ferencvaros.

Morata is looking more and more like “the answer” as the No. 9 for the Old Lady.

Adrien Rabiot is Juventus’ unsung hero

Although Adrien Rabiot is capable of scoring goals and making plays in an attacking sense, as he did this summer or even this weekend at Spezia, the French midfielder has stood out a lot this season for his defensive contributions.

The former PSG man was all over the place against Ferencvaros, and I mean that in the best way possible. He recorded a team-high seven tackles, according to WhoScored.com, and he also completed about 90 percent of his passes.

Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur have been impressive from a defensive standpoint for Juventus. Throw in Weston McKennie and Arthur Melo, and Juve have a group of players who are impossible to criticize for their effort and influence defensively.

That Rabiot is among them speaks volumes about the way he has upped his game over the past few months. He is playing a different role in midfield for Juve under Andrea Pirlo, but his impact on the team may be even greater.
