Antony, who came close to joining Juventus but opted to switch the Dutch Eredivisie for the Premier League in 2022, is currently on the summer shopping list of Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and the Turin titans.
The whizzy winger became a surprise flop for United, following his much-hyped €95 million (US$104.1m) deal from Ajax, under Erik ten Hag. He bagged a disappointing tally of a dozen goals from 96 appearances.
Antony fell down the pecking order under head coach Ruben Amorim this term, failing to make a Premier League start all season. The Brazilian was swiftly shipped out to Betis during the January transfer window, where he has been formidable.
Juve alerted by Spanish displays
The 25-year-old has become a shining star under ex-Manchester City and Real Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini. He is a fan favorite with his dazzling skills and four goals in 12 appearances.
Antony, Betis and Pellegrini make a great fit. The only future drawback is there’s unlikely to be the budget at Betis to secure his services on a permanent basis.
Atletico Madrid are the latest club to show some serious interest, after head coach Diego Simeone was alerted to Antony's versatility and skillset. The club are prepared to table an offer of €45 (US$49.3m), with additional conditions that could increase the final figure to €75 (US$82.2m).
Bayern Munich and the Bianconeri
Bayern Munich are definitely losing veteran Thomas Muller at the end of the campaign. The 35-year-old attacking midfielder, frequently utilized as a second striker, is leaving the German giants.
With England attacker Harry Kane also viewing a potential summer move, it becomes obvious why Bayern boss Vincent Kompany aims to lure Antony to the Bundesliga next season.
Juventus remain an attractive option for Antony. Napoli’s exiled goal machine Victor Osimhen declined a move to the Bianconeri. Lille’s Jonathan David, another big name striker, appears destined for the Premier League.
Juve have already decided that the young attacking duo of Samuel Mbangula and Kenan Yildiz are off limits to Premier League clubs.
Talents that Antony has to offer
The club are ambitious, with Antony the perfect player to fit in with their future plans. He has the talents to go on darting runs and exciting dribbles, combined with pace and ability to score goals.
Antony, United’s second most expensive player behind former Juventus icon Paul Pogba, would not come cheaply. Yet Juve have plenty of players that they are willing to sell this summer.
Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbia striker who is highly-rated by interim coach Igor Tudor, is on the list of potential players to leave. He could be tempted to stay at Juve, if he can agree a contract extension beyond the end of next season.
He has already been touted for a summer swap deal with United, which would involve their out-of-favour Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee. Vlahovic has also been named as a possible double switch with Newcastle United for ex-AC Milan ace Sandro Tonali.
Should Vlahovic leave the Bianconeri, the club could use Antony to spearhead the attack. Should Vlahovic remain, then Antony could be reverted on the wing to add bite alongside Mbangula or Turkish teenager Yildiz.
