Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion, two Birmingham-based Championship clubs, plus German giants Borussia Dortmund also have the 17-year-old left winger on their radar.

Yet an ankle injury, while playing for England at the European Under-19 Championship, could dash a dream move to Serie A for the London-born ace who progressed through the Tottenham Hotspur Academy.

Senior starts

Mikey Moore broke into the Tottenham first team under the then head coach Ange Postecoglou last term, and made 22 appearances across all competitions.

He was alerted to the England set up after becoming the youngest-ever Spurs player to compete in the Premier League, aged 16 years and 277 days when he tackled Manchester City in May 2024.

Moore was named England U19 skipper against Norway on 14 June and scored a penalty during the 2-2 stalemate. An injury time problem with his ankle ruined the impressive no10’s night, which now makes it a waiting game to discover how severe this is for Spurs and other interested teams.

Missed out

His rolled ankle resulted in Moore not playing, or even featuring on the bench, for the England U19 squad involved in a topsy-turvy 5-5 draw against Germany on 17 June.

It could be back to the drawing board for those four clubs who are contemplating a bid around €20 million (US$22.9m) for Moore, whose contract with Tottenham expires in June 2027.

Juventus have just one recognized left winger in Turkish talent Kenan Yildiz, and have been sounding out some bargain-priced players to become Yildiz’s understudy next season.

Medal winner

Turin could be tempting for Moore, who won the 2024/25 Europa League with Spurs. Although he may prefer to reunite with former Tottenham coach Ryan Mason, who was recently appointed West Brom manager.

With Thomas Franks having moved across London, switching Brentford for the Spurs hot-seat, it seems likely that Moore would be loaned out rather than sold for such a low price.

With Champions League on offer from Juve, the Turin titans appear to have the edge to attract Moore as long as his recent ankle injury is not going to be a problem.
