With last season’s Juve attack expected to split up, the club urgently requires firepower.

Samuel Mbangula, Paris Saint-Germain loanee Kolo Muani and Dusan Vlahovic were in the goals for Juventus during their rollercoaster 2024/25 campaign.

Juventus Next Gen star Mbangula is valued at €20 million (US$22.9m), with the U21 Belgium forward up for grabs this summer.

The club rejected a bid from West Ham United during the winter transfer market, but they have made a U-turn now that Cristiano Giuntoli has departed from his role as sporting director.

Mbangula bagged just four goals in 32 appearances last term, but is attracting attention from the German Bundesliga, Premier League as well as Serie A. Bologna appears to be his most likely destination, which could involve a swap and cash deal for Switzerland winger Dan Ndoye.

Muani will be back in a Juve jersey to tackle the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup finals, but the ball is firmly in PSG’s court as to his future.

A plethora of Premier League sides, especially Manchester United, are keen to either take him on a season-long loan with a conditional obligation to buy or fork out a hefty fee to sign the French international.

Yet Galatasaray and Juventus are also in the mix to secure the 27-year-old’s signature, as he found his scoring boots at the end of the Serie A season after being unleashed following an injury to Vlahovic.

Vlahovic has options

Serbia striker Vlahovic, who has dismissed any further contract talks with the Bianconeri because they would wish to reduce his salary on a new deal, has a season to run on his Juve agreement.

He turned down lucrative moves to both the Saudi Pro League and the Turkish Super Lig in January, but Fenerbahce remain keen to land the hot-shot.

Vlahovic is also wanted by AC Milan, which would present a reunion with ex-Juve boss Max Allegri, and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid. Yet he has the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup finals to showcase his skills to other potential suitors.

Although Juventus have been relentlessly linked with numerous defenders, there’s only been speculation about who will potentially be their forward firepower next season.

With interim head coach Igor Tudor suddenly tipped to be offered a two-season deal as permanent manager before the Club World Cup, should it happen then this levers open the opportunity to attract attackers.

Without a definite head coach then targets could be reluctant to join Juventus, despite the club being able to offer Champions League soccer.

Goal-machine Gyokeres

It appears to be a two-team race for Sporting Lisbon’s lethal forward Viktor Gyokeres between Juve and Manchester United. He bagged 54 goals from 52 matches last season, which prompted Guintoli to meet his agents in London last month.

There was initially some interest from Arsenal for Gyokeres, but they reportedly prefer Benjamin Sesko, who Juve are also keen on.

Vlahovic, who turned down Arsenal to join the Bianconeri from Fiorentina in 2022, had recently been back on the Premier League club’s radar but has now slipped off.

Juventus need to sell Vlahovic before they can contemplate an expensive acquisition, because the 26-year-old commands the highest annual salary in Serie A at a staggering €12m (US$13.7m).

Osimhen rejected Juve

His departure would pave the way for a mega signing, although their top target Victor Osimhen turned down the chance to join Juventus. The Nigerian international is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans at Napoli.

Osimhen decided against signing for Al-Hilal, who recently appointed former Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi, with Manchester United now his possible destination.

He bagged 26 Super Lig goals during last season’s loan at Galatasaray, with the Istanbul giants keen to replace him with Muani.

Manchester United’s trio of Antony, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have long been on Juve’s wanted list. While others have been added including Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi and Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca.

Juve’s strategy is to wait until Vlahovic has been offloaded, and to see how much money they can make from the Club World Cup. Yet this waiting game could backfire and they could end up missing out on landing any of their top targets.
