Juventus could be looking to bolster their attacking option for next season and one player that might fit the bill is Monza's Daniel Maldini.
This past summer, Juventus bolstered their midfield with the additions of Teun Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz, and Khéphren Thuram. However, is the club still seeking another player to strengthen that area?
So far in the 2024-25 season, both Luiz and Thuram have dealt with injuries. Additionally, with Paul Pogba’s doping suspension now reduced to 18 months, it’s evident that he no longer has a future in Turin.
What's the latest on Juventus pursuing Monza's Daniel Maldini?
Sky Sports Italy reports (h/t TuttoJuve) that Inter Milan, Juventus, and Atalanta are monitoring the 23-year-old, who has a €12 million termination clause in his contract.
If a foreign club shows interest, that clause would increase to €15 million. Notably, 50 percent of the transfer fee would go to Milan, but they would not have the right of first refusal for Maldini.
Juventus could be looking for a cost-efficient midfielder that won't see them break the bank in terms of transfer fees and wages. As a result, the Italian midfielder would fit the bill as they look to secure young talent that has barely scratched their potential,
TuttoJuve recently noted that Juventus has been keeping an eye on Atlético de Madrid's Rodrigo De Paul for some time. However, considering their squad depth and ongoing efforts to reduce wage expenses, a transfer doesn’t appear likely.
According to Capology, De Paul earns €128,269 a week, making him the fourth-highest earner at Juventus. In contrast, he currently ranks as the 10th-highest earner at his current club in Spain.
