This past summer transfer window, Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah was rumored to be leaving the German club. However, despite links to other clubs, Tah remained with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
Nonetheless, with his contract expiring in June 2025, the 28-year-old can sign a pre-contract with any club once January arrives. Tah was linked with a move away from the club with Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona keen on the player.
With no extension in place as of now, all signs point to the center-back leaving as a free agent next summer. Moreover, Juventus are one of the clubs keen on Tah to bolster their backline next season.
Juventus' interest in Jonathan Tah revealed in latest report
's Niccolò Ceccarini revealed the latest regarding Juventus's interest in Tah. Moreover, his information notes that Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are the biggest threats to the Old Lady in their attempt to secure the German international.
"The Nerazzurri have already made an investment in [Tomás] Palacios for their defense, but they might look to strengthen this area again," Ceccarini noted (h/t Bianconera News). "One player attracting their interest is Tah, a key player for Bayer Leverkusen born in 1996. He has chosen not to extend his contract, which runs out in June 2025, making him another potential free transfer target.
"However, there are strong competitors for his signature. Bayern Munich are seriously considering him, and Juventus are also exploring their options. It seems more likely they’ll pursue him next year rather than in the winter transfer window, where they’re primarily aiming for a loan deal."
This season, Tah has made 15 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen across all competitions while scoring one goal.
