Juventus have been without summer signing Nico González for a month after the Argentine suffered a muscle injury in the opening stages of Juventus’ 3-2 win over RB Leipzig on October 2.

The Italian club announced last month that González sustained a low-grade injury to the rectus femoris of the right thigh. A report from Corriere dello Sport claims that the ex-Fiorentina star will remain out of action for nearly one month.

However, a month has passed, and the forward remains out of action. Nonetheless, new information has emerged on when to expect González back on the pitch for the Old Lady.

On Friday, Calciomercato reported, citing sources, that González will need more time than anticipated to return to the pitch. While it’s not a severe injury, and his initial recovery timeline was around 20 days, he’s already missed five matches between the league and the UEFA Champions League.

González already missed this weekend’s Udinese, and the Italian media outlet rules him out for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against LOSC Lille. There’s a chance he could return on November 9 for the derby against Torino, but nothing is certain.

However, if he’s not ready for that game against Torino, fans will have to wait until the clash with Milan on November 23, nearly two months after his injury, because there’s the international break this month.

González has one goal and one assist in six appearances at a club level this season. It's been a challenging start to his tenure at Juventus, but he'll likely be motivated to ensure that he can have a bounce-back performance once he returns from injury.
