The January transfer window opens in just a few weeks, and there are already plenty of rumors swirling about which players top European clubs might try to pry away from Juventus.
This window could also offer a chance for players who aren't getting enough playing time or a significant role to seek a move elsewhere.
One Juventus player who might be looking for a change is midfielder Arthur, who seems to be out of manager Thiago Motta's plans. The Brazilian has yet to play this season since returning from his loan stint and his representatives will likely be pushing for a switch in the coming weeks.
Are Juventus looking to sell Arthur Melo in January?
Tutto Juve reports that Arthur has two attractive options in Spain, with both Girona and Real Betis showing interest in bringing him back to La Liga. Girona, one of the season's surprises, could benefit from his quality to strengthen their midfield and keep up their impressive competitive pace.
Meanwhile, Real Betis are also exploring the idea of adding the Brazilian to their squad, as part of Manuel Pellegrini's project, which has seen players like Giovani Lo Celso missing matches this season.
Other clubs, including Benfica and Olympique Marseille, have also expressed interest, but the restrictions on foreign competitions make some transfers tricky. Juventus hopes to secure at least €15 million from a sale.
This window could be the last that the Old Lady secure a sum for a player that isn't in their plans. It will be interesting to see whether Arthur decides to stay in Europe or perhaps considers a return to Brazilian football to play out the final years of his prime.
