A strong line-up was selected by the 66-year-old former Italy manager, making some tweaks to the starting XI that registered their midweek success in Norway. The reintroduction of winger Kenan Yildiz, who netted a brace in the 2-1 win over Cagliari, proved to be a tactical masterstroke from Spalletti.
Mattia Perin - 5
Had little to do through the 90 minutes. Solid on the ball and could not have done much different to stop the Sardinia side from breaking the deadlock.
Teun Koopmeiners - 6
Newly appointed center-back won his duels and showed his class whenever he started progressing up the pitch.
Lloyd Kelly - 6
Excellent in his 1vs1 duels, both in the air and on the ground. Should have taken more risks on the ball instead of constantly making easy passes.
Pierre Kalulu - 7
The French full-back was superb at center-back, and at times looked deadly when pushing forward. Set up the game's second goal and confident in all of his defensive tackles.
Filip Kostic - 5
Unfortunately, the veteran was painful to watch throughout his first-half cameo. Simply put, he could neither defend nor attack.
Khephren Thuram - 7
The marvellous, magical midfielder ran the midfield, showed a physical presence and picked the right passes. A real gem who proved crucial both in and out of possession.
Manuel Locatelli - 6
Captain fantastic was not involved in much going forward, but was a rock defensively and screened the midfield wonderfully well.
Weston McKennie - 6
Not involved in many attacks, as they were directed towards Yildiz on the opposite side of the pitch. Was positive and hungry to create chances when involved.
Kenan Yildiz - 9 (OldJuve man of the match)

No words can truly summarise how good he was in the opening half. A true joy to watch and came up with the goods when Juventus needed his brilliant input.
Francisco Conceicao - 7
The tricky winger was superb. Direct, quick and threatening. Won multiple free-kicks and terrific when tracking back.
Dusan Vlahovic - 5
Forced off by injury after 31 minutes. During his short appearance the Serbian was poor, and looked off the mark.
Substitutes
Jonathan David - 6
Given plenty of time to strut his stuff. Performed well with his back to goal. Linked up well with Conceicao and Yildiz, but did not have any clear-cut chances himself.
Andrea Cambiaso - 6
Sent on for the entire second half. Did his job well, was a much needed improvement on Kostic but failed to hit top gear.
Fabio Miretti - 6
His passing was top notch, but he did not get involved in the dirty work enough. Another good display, although not enough to propel him to a starting berth.
Juan Cabal - 5
A change in system saw the Columbian defender introduced to help see out the game. Went unnoticed, but his job was to do just that and not give away the ball in the defensive third.
Lois Openda - 5
Having scored his first Juventus goal in midweek, he was surprisingly only average. Made half-hearted runs and looked low on confidence.
