Arsenal's €20M-rated defender attracts interest from Juventus, Inter Milan to bolster defense, report says

Juventus could be looking to bolster their center-back position this January transfer window. Moreover, the Old Lady could be looking at a player with experience in Serie A.
Takehiro Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna in 2021, and with his contract set to expire in 2026, the club might consider selling him to recoup a transfer fee. After this season, he’ll only have one year left on his deal, which could push the Gunners to cash in.
During his time with the Gunners, the Japanese international has made 83 appearances, scoring two goals and registering six assists for the Premier League side.
In Serie A, Tomiyasu made 64 appearances for the Italian side, where he played from 2019 and 2021. Multiple clubs are keen on luring him back to Italy’s top flight.
Takehiro Tomiyasu on Juventus' radar?
Calciomercato reported on Saturday that several clubs are in the market for a new central defender. Napoli, Juventus, and Inter Milan are eyeing the January transfer window to bolster their backlines.
The Italian media outlet also reveals that Juventus is expected to test the waters with Arsenal over the coming months to see what a deal for Tomiyasu might look like financially. Regardless, the English club's management are open to a January transfer.
Moreover, the 25-year-old has seen his playing time diminish significantly following the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori. Nonetheless, there’s a red flag in pursuing Tomiyasu, as injuries have held him back. While he’s been an important squad player, he’s rarely a regular starter.
His price is estimated at around €20 million, and both Napoli and Inter are also keen. Having performed well at Bologna, a return to Serie A could appeal to the defender.
