A few days ago, a report emerged that Juventus are keen on a veteran midfielder to bolster their group. CaughtOffside reported that Barcelona are eyeing Arsenal's Thomas Partey for a return to LaLiga, though Juventus seems to have the strongest interest.

Moreover, the report notes that Juventus are prepared to offer Partey a three-year contract. The 31-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2020 and has made 118 appearances across all competitions while scoring six goals and recording four assists.

If a contract extension isn't agreed upon by December 31, the Ghanaian player could leave the London-based club as a free agent. Starting January 2025, he can sign a pre-contract with another team and continue his career elsewhere.

Juventus have no plans for Thomas Partey

Although Partey is a crucial player for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, it looks like a new contract might be off the table for a few reasons.

Even though he's hard to replace, Arsenal has other midfield options and might hesitate to commit to a player with a history of injuries for the long term.

Despite the report that the Old Lady are keen on the Arsenal standout, TuttoJuve revealed on Monday that Juventus might not be at the forefront of the race. According to the Italian outlet, the Serie A side are leaning towards younger players with more manageable salaries.

With clubs like Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Al Ahli, and Al Hilal all in the race for the Ghanian player, it makes sense that Juventus might not want to go all in on him because his wages could get out of control in the free-agent market.
