By Eduardo Razo
Juventus strengthened their attack this summer by bringing in Nicolás González and Francisco Conceição, but could they be planning another major addition?
The club is still missing a marquee forward, and next summer might be the time for the Old Lady to make a big move. So, who could they be eyeing? A recent report revealed that Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United is reportedly attracting interest from Barcelona and Juventus.
Moreover, the Serie A club are keeping tabs on Garnacho’s situation closely and has him on their shortlist alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.
Juventus look to bolster attack with Barcelona standout
Mundo Deportivo cited information that Juventus are still monitoring Ferran Torres. The Barça forward, who has started the last two matches under Hansi Flick, is generating interest from the Italian club.
The Old Lady's interest in "El Tiburón" goes back to last summer’s transfer window, as they’re looking for someone to support their leading offensive player, Serbian Dušan Vlahović. However, Torres has always dreamed of succeeding at Barcelona, where he wants to make his mark.
Juventus have been following Torres for a while now, even when he excelled in Spain’s youth teams, but he seems happy in Barcelona. Nevertheless, the Bianconeri are also considering other options, such as Frenchman Arnaud Kalimuendo from Rennes and Serbian Luka Jović from AC Milan.
Torres has played in nine matches this season—seven in La Liga and two in the Champions League—scoring one goal and providing two assists. How much could a potential transfer for Torres cost? Transfermarkt puts the player's transfer value at €30 million for the player under contract until 2027.
