Juventus are nearing a transfer of Nicolas González from Fiorentina as the player is reportedly already in Turin, ready to undergo his medical and sign his contract to make his arrival official.

González's name has been in the rumor mill all summer as reports have also linked the forward to Atalanta and Newcastle United. As a result, Juventus faced stiff competition to secure the player.

The two-time Copa América winner joined Fiorentina in 2021 and has appeared in 125 matches across all competitions for the Italian side, scoring 38 goals and registering 19 assists.

Fabrizio Romano provides all the details on González's move

On Saturday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided all the details regarding the Fiorentina standout's move to the Old Lady. According to Romano, Juventus will pay a package of €38 million add-ons included and will sign a long-term deal.

González played a significant role in his move to Turin, making it clear to I Viola that it was only Juventus and no other club. Moreover, new manager Thiago Motta also played a part in the transfer as the 41-year-old really wanted him to be part of his squad, per Romano.

Romano adds that Juventus intend to go after one more winger to bolster the attack in the final days of the summer transfer window. Whether or not they succeed in landing one more player before the deadline remains to be seen but Romano notes that Francisco Conceição and Jadon Sancho are on their target list.

These next few days should be interesting.
