A few days ago, rumors surfaced that Liverpool have put Juventus defender Gleison Bremer on their radar to bolster their defense. The Reds could be looking at a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk as his contract expires at the end of this season.

The 27-year-old defender, who came over from Torino, is under contract until 2029 and has been with the Old Lady since 2022. He's played 89 matches for Juventus, scoring eight goals and recording one assist.

With the player still having five years left on his current deal, the Serie A side have all the leverage in any transfer discussions. As a result, Tuttomercatoweb reports that Juventus have set a minimum asking price of €70 million.

The Italian side believes this amount reflects the Brazilian defender's actual value and will not entertain offers below that amount.

Nicolò Schira on Bremer rumors

Although the summer window is closed, that doesn't stop the rumors as teams like Liverpool need to plot for potential departures of players whose contracts expire in June 2025.

Transfer expert Nicolò Schira spoke with Juventus News 24 and noted that he doesn't see the Brazilian defender leaving Turin anytime soon.

"Bremer has just signed another contract extension with improved terms," Schira said. "It's no surprise that top Premier League clubs are interested in him, but Juventus is determined to keep him.

"Both Motta and Giuntoli see him as a key player, one of the pillars of the team. It would take a massive offer—€80 million or more—for Juventus to even consider letting him go. As it stands, both Bremer and Yildiz are untouchable for Juve."
