Dušan Vlahović having scored only two goals in six matches across all competitions and Juventus having had three straight scoreless draws in league play, questions about pursuing another No. 9 are emerging.

Over the last few days, LOSC Lille’s Jonathan David has been the name constantly linked to Juventus. The Canadian could become a free agent next summer with his contract expiring in June 2025, so there are many suitors.

Since joining Lille in 2020, David has netted 87 goals in 190 appearances across all competitions. Rumors suggest that Arsenal, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are among the teams vying for the player.

However, that’s not the only striker that the Old Lady could be pursuing next summer. Juventus could spend their money elsewhere to bolster their goal-scoring for the 2025-26 season.

Juventus face competition for Benjamin Šeško

Spanish media outlet SPORT reports that Šeško is one of two targets that Barcelona have in mind to replace Robert Lewandowski long-term. The 21-year-old has rejected offers from giants like Arsenal to continue developing in the Bundesliga.

He renewed his contract this summer, extending it until June 2029, but with an eye on a potential departure soon. TuttoJuve also notes that the Turin-based club are also eyeing him as a possible replacement for Vlahović. Moreover, the Slovenian player has a buyout clause of around €65 million.

Since joining RB Leipzig in 2023, Šeško has appeared in 48 matches across all competitions for the German club. He’s also scored 20 goals while registering four assists, which has led to many top European clubs being keen on the standout striker.
