Arsenal unlikely to make midseason sale of Inter Milan, Juventus target, report suggests

Juventus might target a player with Serie A experience in the January transfer window to strengthen their center-back position for the second half of the 2024-25 season.
Calciomercato reported on Saturday that several clubs are looking to strengthen their defenses with new central defenders. Napoli, Juventus, and Inter Milan are all considering moves in the January transfer window to shore up their backlines.
The Italian media outlet reports that Juventus plans to reach out to Arsenal in the coming months to explore what a deal for Takehiro Tomiyasu could look like financially.
Tomiyasu joined Arsenal from Bologna in 2021, and with his contract running until 2026, the club might think about selling him to get a transfer fee. If they don’t act after this season, he’ll only have one year left on his deal, which could lead the Gunners to cash in.
What's the latest on Juventus' interest in Takehiro Tomiyasu?
CaughtOffside reported on Monday, citing sources, that while a mid-season departure for Tomiyasu isn't very likely, there is a chance he could leave if the right offer comes in. He has several suitors in Serie A, where he previously shone during his time with Bologna.
AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli are all monitoring Tomiyasu's situation, according to the report. However, it’s still unclear if any of these clubs will take serious steps to sign him soon.
The Japanese international made 83 appearances for Arsenal, scoring two goals and providing six assists. Before that, Tomiyasu played in Serie A, where he appeared 64 times for the Italian side between 2019 and 2021.
