In September, Juventus was linked to Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, but it appears as though the Turin-based club could be out of the running for the veteran player.

The report from CaughtOffside this fall highlighted Barcelona's interest in bringing Partey back to LaLiga from Arsenal. However, it indicates that Juventus currently have the most substantial interest in the midfielder.

Nonetheless, the information did mention that Juventus are ready to offer Partey a three-year contract. Still, like any news in the transfer window, the situation can drastically change in a matter of months and now it appears the 31-year-old could be heading elsewhere.

What's the latest on Thomas Partey?

Tutto Juve reports that Partey’s departure is looking increasingly likely in the coming months. While Mikel Arteta still considers the Ghanaian midfielder part of his short-term plans, he seems to recognize the difficulty of keeping him beyond the summer.

The final decision will depend on concrete offers from the Middle East, but Partey appears convinced that his time at Arsenal is nearing its end and that a transfer could be a positive move for both him and the club.

Juventus has also been linked with the player, but a move to Turin seems unlikely. Tutto Juve previously reported that the Old Lady are unlikely to pursue Partey as they are focusing on younger talents with more affordable salaries.

The 31-year-old has been with Arsenal since 2020, making 136 appearances and contributing seven goals and five assists. Starting in January, he’ll be free to sign a pre-contract with another club and move on to a new chapter in his career.
