Juventus are reportedly eyeing defensive reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window, with a potential target already on their radar.
While the summer transfer window saw the arrival of Juan Cabal from Hellas Verona, Juventus focused more on strengthening their midfield and adding depth to their wings. However, the center-back position remains a priority, as they did not make any significant additions in this area over the summer.
Despite this, Juventus have already started monitoring defensive options for the 2024-25 season. In September, TuttoJuve reported that they have been closely following Feyenoord's Dávid Hancko as a potential addition to their defense.
The Slovakian center-back has caught the attention of Juventus scouts with his impressive performances, but his future remains uncertain, especially with his current price tag set at a minimum of €40 million.
Juventus and Feyenoord are at odds over transfer fee
Tottenham have also been linked with several center-back targets, with Hancko among their top options. According to TBRFootball, Spurs are looking for a left-sided defender to provide backup to Micky van de Ven, and Hancko could be available in January.
Tottenham have scouted the Slovakian international multiple times and are reportedly ready to make a move. His price tag is believed to have dropped, now rumored to be lower than the £35 million valuation from the summer.
As reported by Tutto Juve, Hancko is one of the top options for Juventus' defensive reinforcement in January. Feyenoord is open to a loan with an obligation to buy but would demand at least €30 million, while Juventus prefers a fee of €20-25 million.
