Juventus target commits to Galatasaray for remainder of 2024-25 season

Juventus are reportedly looking to bring in a new No. 9 to bolster their attack next summer. Goal-scoring from the striker position has been a storyline surrounding the squad, and it doesn't appear to be going away.
In September, Italian journalist Paolo Paganini noted that Dušan Vlahović isn’t Juventus' striker and stated that the Turin-based club could be looking at Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan to Galatasaray from Napoli.
“Juve lacks a striker who matches the caliber of the top teams,” Paganini said. "Two names are being considered to replace Vlahović: David, whose contract runs out in 2025 but is a non-EU player, and Osimhen.
Moreover, a report from TuttoSport also confirmed the links between Juventus and Osimhen. However, the Old Lady will only pursue Osimhen if Napoli lowers their demands, with Lille's striker Jonathan David considered as an alternative.
Victor Osimhen commits to Galatasaray for the rest of the season
With Galatasaray, the Nigerian has found his goal-scoring boots that made him one of the best players in Serie A and fueled Napoli to their league title during the 2022-23 season.
Although there have been rumors that Osimhen could leave during the January transfer window, the 25-year-old has no plans to abandon the club, especially as the Turkish side are in first place in the Süper Lig and have an automatic spot in the knockout stage of the UEFA Europa League.
“I’m very happy here," Osimhen said (h/t JuventusNews24). "I won’t leave in January; I’ll stay here until the end of the season. I don’t know what Napoli and Galatasaray are talking about, but when they let me know, we’ll sit down and discuss it.”
