Juventus transfer hopes crushed as target reveals AC Milan desire

It wasn’t only Jonathan David who caught Juventus’ eye during their UEFA Champions League clash against LOSC Lille; Edon Zhegrova is now also on their radar.
Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw against the Ligue 1 club. David opened the scoring after a brilliant assist from Zhegrova before Dušan Vlahović equalized with a penalty as neither side would break the deadlock.
Tuttosport reports that Kosovo international Zhegrova has caught the Old Lady’s attention. The 25-year-old, who can play on either wing, has been impressive this season, contributing seven goals and two assists in 16 competitive appearances for LOSC.
His contract runs until June 2026 after his €7 million transfer from Basel to the French side. While the Italian side was interested, the player made remarks that might be causing the club to pause in its interest.
Edon Zhegrova hints at the desired club to play for in Serie A
Zhegrova spoke to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website and noted that he loves Italian football, but he also notes that he has a preferred club should he ever make the jump to Serie A.
"I like Italian football; I always follow your big teams like Milan and also watch Juventus' matches," Zhegrova told the outlet (h/t TuttoJuve). "Then, in Kosovo, there are many fans of Milan, Inter, and Juventus. Me in Serie A one day? Why not? I really like Milan, I like Milan."
Zhegrova has been with the Ligue 1 side since 2022, where he's made 102 appearances across all competitions while scoring 25 goals and registering 18 assists. As far as how much the player could cost, Transfermarkt puts the player's transfer value at €25 million.
