The January transfer window is fast approaching, offering Juventus the opportunity to find a defender to replace Gleison Bremer, who is expected to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season due to a torn cruciate ligament.
In recent weeks, Juventus has been linked with several potential defensive targets, and with the window set to open in less than two months, more names are likely to surface as options for the Serie A club.
Earlier this month, Tuttomercatoweb reported that Juventus have expressed strong interest in Fulham defender Joachim Andersen. The report mentions that the club is assessing the potential cost of signing Andersen, who has Serie A experience from his time at Sampdoria between 2017 and 2019.
However, acquiring the 28-year-old may not be straightforward. Andersen only joined Fulham from Crystal Palace this past summer and is contracted to the Premier League side until 2029.
Liverpool joins the race for Joachim Andersen
CaughtOffside recently revealed that Liverpool, Tottenham, and Juventus are all interested in the Danish international. The report also notes that while Andersen is on the radar of these clubs, no final decision has been made regarding his future, and it’s unclear if he will become a top priority for any of them.
Fulham will likely feel they’re not under much pressure to sell, but it will be interesting to see if the likes of Liverpool and Spurs come up with anything to really test their resolve.
How much could Andersen cost Juventus? Transfermarkt values the defender at €35 million. So far this season, Andersen has made eight appearances for Fulham in the 2024-25 campaign.
