The January transfer window is just a few weeks away, giving Juventus the opportunity to find a replacement for Gleison Bremer. Unfortunately, due to a torn cruciate ligament, Bremer is expected to miss the rest of the 2024-25 season.
As a result, rumors are already swirling about potential defensive targets for the Old Lady once the window opens. Last month, TuttoJuve reported that Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior is once again linked with a move to Serie A, with the Gunners said to be open to selling him, but only on a permanent transfer.
Juventus could make a serious move, as Thiago Motta is keen to work with the Polish defender again after their time together at Spezia. Much will depend on the transfer fee Arsenal sets.
Napoli attempt to secure Jakub Kiwior ahead of January window
Napoli have intensified their interest in Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, who is reportedly looking to leave the club.
According to Italian outlet Il Mattino, Napoli are eager to bring in the Poland international after an injury to center-back Alessandro Buongiorno.
Although Kiwior has played regularly due to Arsenal's defensive injury crisis, 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly was selected at left-back for Saturday's match against Everton.
The report doesn't reveal how much Arsenal could demand for the player, but Transfermarkt puts the defender's transfer value at €28 million.
Estadio Deportivo recently reported that Sevilla are keeping an eye on the player and are looking to replace Loïc Badé with the Poland international, who has struggled to find consistent playing time at his Premier League club.
Victor Orta, Sevilla’s sporting director, is leading the push to sign the Arsenal player, a move he also tried to make in 2023. However, Sevilla may have difficulty meeting Arsenal's asking price for a permanent transfer, making a loan deal seem like the more likely option.
