Juventus are reportedly eyeing a new No. 9 for next summer, with LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David emerging as a top target. However, landing the Canadian forward won’t come easy.
According to TuttoJuve, David has set his financial terms for a potential free transfer, demanding a salary of €6 million per season and a €10 million commission for his agent.
Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport reports that Juventus are ready to offer David a five-year deal worth at least €5 million per season, along with a commission of around €7 million.
While it’s a significant financial commitment, especially given David’s free-agent status this summer, Juventus are eager to get ahead of Europe’s elite clubs in the race for his signature.
Another suitor for LOSC Lille's Jonathan David?
Tutto Juve reports that David could join Paris Saint-Germain for free in the summer of 2025. The 24-year-old Canadian's contract with LOSC runs until June 2025, but he hasn't extended it, opening the door for a free transfer.
Additionally, the idea of signing such a high-level player without a transfer fee is appealing, especially since it would break PSG's usual pattern of overspending. The report also claims that Juventus are also interested in him, but PSG would offer a higher salary.
Last month, Corriere dello Sport reports that Manchester United are joining the race to sign David on a free transfer, with Liverpool and Arsenal also showing strong interest in the striker.
Since joining Lille in 2020, David has been a standout performer, netting 101 goals in 208 appearances across all competitions. The forward has also drawn interest from several other clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United.
