Earlier this year, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba was handed a four-year ban for a doping offense, putting his career in jeopardy. However, recent updates suggest he could return to the field sooner than expected.

His suspension has now been reduced to 18 months, meaning Pogba is set to make his comeback in 2025. He’ll be able to start training with Juventus in January and could be eligible to play in official matches by March.

Transfer expert Nicolò Schira reported last month that Paul Pogba is no longer part of Juventus' plans and won't be rejoining the team. His agents are exploring other options, with interest coming from clubs in Saudi Arabia and MLS.

Meanwhile, Juventus' legal team is waiting for an official decision from CAS about the possibility of reducing his ban. Once that is clarified, the club plans to terminate his contract, which runs until June 2026, for just cause.

According to Sky Sports UK (h/t TuttoJuve), Pogba and Juventus are in the final stages of negotiations to settle the French midfielder’s contract.

Clubs from England, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and MLS are reportedly interested in signing the 31-year-old. The English outlet notes that Pogba and his representatives are expected to hold formal talks with the interested clubs once he officially departs from Juventus.

No matter what the future holds for Pogba, he's happy to return to the pitch as soon as there's a response to his suspension being reduced.

"Finally, the nightmare is over," Pogba noted last month. "I can look forward to the day when I can follow my dreams again. I always stated that I never knowingly breached Anti-Doping regulations; I play with integrity, and I want to thank the Court of Arbitration who heard my explanation.

"This has been a hugely distressing period in my life because everything I’ve worked so hard for has been put on hold. Thank you for all the love and support. I can’t wait to get back on the pitch!"
