Alexis Mac Allister reveals how former Juventus player is adjusting to life at Liverpool

In the final week of the summer transfer window, Juventus sold former winger Federico Chiesa to Liverpool. The 26-year-old's contract with Juventus was set to expire in 2025, so this past summer could be the Italian club's last chance to secure a fee for the player.
The Athletic's David Ornstein reported last month that the Reds paid £10 million, with an additional £2.5 million in performance-based add-ons. Moreover, the player signed a four-year contract with the Premier League side.
Chiesa left Juventus having made 131 appearances since joining the club in 2022 while scoring 32 goals and registering 23 assists. Furthermore, Chiesa won two Coppa Italia trophies and one Supercoppa Italiana.
How is Federico Chiesa adjusting to life at Liverpool?
It's been a few weeks since the winger left Turin for the English side and Argentine standout Alexis Mac Allister spoke about how the Italian is adjusting to his new squad.
"Since the day he arrived, it was obvious how happy he was to be here," Mac Allister told reporters (h/t TuttoJuve). "He demonstrates his strength in every training session, and we have high expectations for him. I believe he’ll fit in really well."
The winger has played in three matches for Liverpool so far this season while recording one assist. It's early, but manager Arne Slot is taking a slow approach to integrating Chiesa into the squad, understanding he's adapting to a new club, team, and language.
Perhaps by the end of the year, the former Juventus ace is challenging for minutes in the starting XI. Nonetheless, he could also be a valuable player off the bench and as depth, considering the number of competitions Liverpool are currently in.
