On Tuesday, reports over Liverpool pushing to sign Juventus' Federico Chiesa emerged and now it appears the two clubs have reach a common ground for a transfer to go through before the window closes.

The 26-year-old's contract expires in 2025, so this summer could be the Italian club's last chance to secure a fee for the player. As a result, this week is crucial for the Old Lady to get a deal done.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that negotiations are continuing among all parties to complete the deal, and Liverpool are hopeful that the two sides can reach an agreement before the deadline.

Moreover, The Athletic's David Ornstein also reported that the Reds are discussing a possible four-year contract with the Juventus forward to bolster their attack.

What's the latest on Chiesa heading to Anfield?

On Wednesday, Ornstein reported that Liverpool have reached an agreement to land Chiesa. According to the report, the Premier League club will pay their Serie A counterparts £10 million, with an additional £2.5 million in performance-based add-ons.

The Italy international is on his way to Merseyside for his medical, with a four-year contract at Anfield already agreed upon, per Ornstein. Additionally, he reports that Chiesa’s arrival at Liverpool won’t result in any of the current senior attackers leaving Anfield before Friday’s transfer deadline.

Chiesa will be leaving Juventus having made 131 appearances since joining the club in 2022 while scoring 32 goals and registering 23 assists. Furthermore, Chiesa won two Coppa Italia trophies and one Supercoppa Italiana.
