Juventus have a gem on their hands and the Serie A side want to ensure they don't lose Samuel Mbangula. The 20-year-old came up through Juventus' youth academy and could be the next star on the team.

Mbangula joined the Old Lady's academy in 2020 from Anderlecht and has made progress over the last few years. While playing for Juventus Primavera, the forward made 57 total appearances, scoring 12 goals and recording five assists.

Under new manager Thiago Motta, Mbangula is taking advantage of the opportunity he's being given this 2024-25 season. In three games, the Belgium native has appeared in three matches, scoring one goal and registering three assists.

It's a small sample size, but the Serie A club doesn't want to take any risk in losing the young player. After this season, the player would have one year left on his contract and there will undoubtedly be clubs in standout's ear telling him to head to free agency.

Is a new contract coming to Samuel Mbangula?

Journalist Nicolò Schira reported on Friday that Mbangula is getting closer to extending his contract with Juventus until 2029. Moreover, the winger will receive a significant salary increase.

After missing out on Jadon Sancho this past summer transfer window, Juventus might be thankful that they did with Mbangula being one of the surprise players in Serie A so far early in this season.

It will be interesting to see if the two sides can come together and reach an agreement. Motta appears ready to give the youngster his full backing, and it will be up to the player to make the most of his opportunities, which, so far, he has done.
