‘Open to Anything’ - Juventus receive boost as Chelsea, West Ham target not fixated on Premier League
By Eduardo Razo
LOSC Lille standout Jonathan David could become a free agent next summer unless the Ligue 1 side signs the player to a contract extension. As a result, clubs like Juventus are reportedly keen on the player.
According to a recent report from , David is the object of desire of several teams and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, who has identified him as an alternative to Dušan Vlahović.
This past summer window, the Canadian was linked to various clubs, such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, and West Ham United, but no Premier League side made a move for him.
Since joining Lille in 2020, David has scored 87 goals in 190 appearances across all competitions. If the Canadian goal scorer does reach free agency, there should be a line of suitors seeking to land him.

Nonetheless, it seems the player could extend his contract to at least ensure the French club secure a sum should he depart next summer. Moreover, David stated that he's not solely fixated on making a move to the Premier League, which bodes well for Juventus.
“Right now, we’re speaking with [LOSC president] Olivier Letang about a possible extension,” David said (h/t Sky Sports).
“I’m open to anything. I think obviously the Premier League is regarded as one of the best league in the world. And for me it’s not the Premier League or bust. I’m open to anything and every league has its challenges.”
As for how much the player could cost, that remains to be seen on the extension, but Transfermarkt puts David's transfer value at €50 million.
