On Wednesday, the Jadon Sancho transfer saga took twists and turns, making many wonder who has the lead in this transfer race. Juventus reportedly remain keen on the player, and one report suggests they have sent in an offer.

However, a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Juventus are cautious about paying the Englishman’s salary. Nonetheless, Sancho would fit in with the new attackers who arrived this summer to bolster the squad’s offense.

So, what’s the latest regarding Sancho and a potential arrival in Turin? Here’s a quick rundown of the reporting that emerged on Wednesday.

An offer from Juventus to Sancho?

Let’s start with RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, who reported that Manchester United and Juventus have reached an agreement for Jadon Sancho to join Juventus on loan, with an obligation to buy. Moreover, Hawkins notes that Sancho is enthusiastic about the move.

Gianluca DiMarzio is the other journalist who reported an offer from Juventus to Manchester United. According to Di Marzio, the Italian club are seriously pursuing Sancho and have made its first official offer to Manchester United for a loan deal.

Moreover, Di Marzio reports that the loan fee is between €7 million and €8 million, including bonuses, and the English club cover part of Sancho’s salary.

The reporting concludes by stating that Juventus are now waiting for Manchester United’s response, but negotiations could continue in the coming hours as both sides work towards an agreement.

Are Juventus Sancho's Plan B?

While the Old Lady have reportedly sent an offer to Manchester United for the 24-year-old, the player might not be in a serious rush to decide until Friday. According to The Guardian's Jacob Steinberg, Sancho is holding out for a proposal from Chelsea despite Juventus continuing with their efforts of a loan deal.

The 24-year-old spent the second half of the 2023-24 season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, reaching the UEFA Champions League final and injecting more life into his career.

In the last campaign, Sancho played in 24 matches, split between Manchester United and Dortmund, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
